Second-graders thankful for family, friends, Wii

We asked second-graders at Valley Park and Trailwood elementary schools, “What are you thankful for?” Here are their answers, exactly as they wrote them.

altRachel Eisenmanger’s second-grade class at Valley Park Elementary School, 12301 Lamar Ave., Overland Park.

Declan C.: I’m thankful for my family! I’m also thankful for my friends! And I’m thankful for food, water, heaven, God, Jesus!

Emily M.: I am thankful for my teacher, also my mom and my dog Bobo. I am thankful for my dad and my home, also my education.

 

Steffen H.: I am thankful for my family who gives me support, love, education and shelter.

Micah R.: I am thankful for God. God created us. We wouldn’t be here if he didn’t. So, my friends, praise God for he and his creation is good.

altNate S.: I am thankful for my family because they are very nice. I am also thankful for my friends because they are fun to play with! And I am also thankful for the world.

Jagruth G.: I am thankful for earth, family, house, health, teacher, school,  books and finally winter.

altLalsi V.: I am thankful for my family, sister, books and finally my friends. I am thankful for my sister cause she is fun to play with.

Laney P.: I am thankful for the earth and everyone on it!

Matthew F.: I am thankful for my pets, for food, for water, for a home and for books.

Stacey A.: I am thankful for my friends, family, teachers and finally the world.

Dahlia C.: I am thankful for my mother, my sister Raquel and my dad.

Disha T.: I am thankful for my teacher, family, home, friends.

Emily S.: I am thankful for food, health, freedom, family, friends, books and animals!

Addie C.: I am thankful for my family, friends!

Anthony R.: I am thankful for my friends, my family, my school, food, water, air, my house, books, my D.S., my Wii and my computer.

Chance H.: I’m thankful for my family.

Romarro W.: I am thankful for my life.

Brock A.: I am thankful for my family and my freedom!

Emma S.: I am thankful for everything!

William H.: I am thankful for my Nintendo D.S.

Tatiana R.: I am thankful for my toys. I am thankful for my cats. I am thankful for my family.

Laura Waters’ second-grade class at Trailwood Elementary School, 5101 W. 95th St., Overland Park. Nina K.: I am thankful for my family because they love me so much. They buy me pets, toys and other things. I love my family.

Noah S.: I am thankful for God and he gave us freedom to earth.

Rival H.: I am thankful for my pets because when I am watching TV my cats lick me.

Patrick M.: I am thankful for my guinea pig that had a baby.

altRenzo O.: I am grateful for friends because they take good care of each other.

Maya B.: I am thankful for clothing. Clothing helps you keep warm.

Truman S.: I am thankful for the donut shop, my dog and my friend Nick.

Virginia H.: I am thankful for mother nature because of the birds.

Nick F.: I am thankful for the army that helps protect our country.

Rachel S.: I am thankful for the police department, fire department and the ambulance because we would not be safe without them.

Makaila C.: I am thankful for everything, especially my friends and family.

Jackson K.: I am thankful for the food that my mom and dad feed me everyday.

Jordan J.: I am thankful for the food that I eat.

Marianna W.: I am thankful that I live in the USA because I live in a free country.

Hayden P.: I am thankful for school so I can learn math and reading.

Hayden P.: I am thankful for my medicine. The medicine helps us stay alive and we don’t get sick.

Sami S.: I am thankful for freedom. I am also thankful for the army. I am thankful for my awesome teacher Mrs. Waters.
