Talk Back calls from our readers...

Enough online

Everything now is online, even the White Pages. I hope to God they don’t have all the newspapers online. I grew up in the early 1940s, and it was sort of a family tradition to get the Sunday paper and read it on a Sunday morning. That’s all we did all Sunday morning, pass around the Sunday paper reading it. And I hope to God they’ll keep the newspapers, because I am sick of this online stuff.

Education

Here is something to think about. If you can’t afford to provide an education for your children, then stop having them. Why should tax dollars pay for your child’s education just because parents are irresponsible?

On the phone

The citizen’s band radio craze is basically over. However, a multitude of people are now walking around with cell phones. Including one man I saw with a cell phone in each ear. Public telephones are basically dead. Who are these people talking to? They are talking in their cars, which is dangerous.

Get back to me

I just read the “No global warming” comment in Talk Balk, and I hope Al Gore gets as big a laugh out of your comments as I did. So while you’re at it, taking all your videos, go Google “permafrost,” then Google “methane,” then Google “chipping point,” then Google “devastation,” then get back to me on that.

Inconsiderate

How do my neighbors in good conscience allow that dog to bark for 6 ½ hours straight until I finally go outside and scream? Do they not care for anyone else but themselves, or are they just unable to hear? I just can’t believe this degree of not caring about other people.

Intelligence

I really think that we, as average Americans, need more education. We have all these stupid reality shows on TV. People were very content with President Bush not doing a thing, and now they are very upset with President Obama trying to do too much. Am I more intelligent than the average person because I think that President Obama is doing a very good job and people that are criticizing him because he’s doing too much are stupid?

Goodbye democracy

The Supreme Court justice just gave our democracy to the corporations. Instead of United States of America it will be corporate America. The people’s voice will no longer be heard. The corporations will outspend, out-talk and decide how this country will be run and by whom. My feeling now is, why even bother to vote?

Big staff

Conan O’Brien states he has over 200 people on his staff. I wonder just what all of them are doing?

Search for speech

Ring up YouTube on your computer and type in “Amazing Speech by War Veteran.” This four-minute speech will show you exactly what war, racism, corporate America and the federal government has done to the United States.

Failing grade

I read in the paper about Stanley Adams, the Obama supporter, giving Obama an A- for his first year in office. Obama deserves an F-. He’s a total failure and disgrace to the republic.

Are you listening?

I hope all these people who were out protesting against the health care plan are watching Dateline Sunday on Channel 41, because things like this can happen to any family. You can not have any insurance at all. I hope you are listening to this when you go out and protest against the health care plan that President Obama was trying to give to all American people.

Changed my mind

There have been a number of readers who have expressed the idea that our government would be better if it was run like a business. I used to think so, but I no longer think that after spending 20 years at Sprint.

Bad to awful

Remember when we thought George Bush was bad? This Obama fellow is plain awful.

Time to move on

Hearne Christopher, it’s time to get over your problems with The Kansas City Star and move on.

Big numbers

A caller said there are 336 million senior citizens. Caller, there aren’t that many people in the entire country of the United States. Quit making up numbers.

Geese protected

There is nothing the Johnson County Park Board can do about the goose problem. Those geese are migratory fowl and are protected by federal law. You need to contact the White House and Congress about the goose problem. And lots of luck with that.

Singing the song

It looks like Ed Eilert is singing the old Republican song. Let’s cut personnel and services to the public so we have money to subsidize businesses.

Kelowna Right to Life in British Columbia is running a pro-life video ad entitled “Everyone Against Abortion, Please Raise Your Hand” on the local TV station, CHBC. The ad features a "graphic anti-abortion image" of adult fingers holding the outstretched hand of a dead baby killed by abortion.

According to a study published in Obstetrics & Gynecology, a new maternal blood test, performed as early as the seventh week of pregnancy, can accurately determine the gender of the baby, and is safer for mother and child than previously used invasive procedures. This will likely give rise to increased first-trimester gender selection abortions, unless outlawed with criminal enforcement.

Britain’s Marie Stopes International announced today that it committed 920,000 abortions in 43 countries in 2009, a 56% increase in the number of abortions over the previous year, the largest ever. Most of the abortions were committed in rural areas or urban slums where there is the greatest need for the reduction of minority races.
This is where Obamanation is now budgeting millions of your tax dollars, including using your tax money for forced abortions in China. The Red Chinese will now be able to shift some of the blame for forced abortions to MSI and Planned Parenthood - and to you.

The Kansas infant mortality is up 20% over the national average, with particular concern over the high black infant mortality.
Kansas has had a high number of abortions in recent years, over 11,000 per year, about half committed by out-of-state mothers seeking anonymity or the lax enforcement of abortion laws and medical regulations in Kansas. Abortion is a major risk factor for premature birth in later pregnancies, with the associated medical problems like cerebral palsy and infant mortality during the first year of life. The increased risk would continue throughout the child-bearing years of the mother, perhaps as much as 20 years. More than one abortion raises the risk of such later pregnancy complications to a virtual certainty. Black babies have been targeted by racist Kansas abortion mills at a rate 3 times higher, causing a premature birth rate 3 times higher in the black community, and a subsequent increase of medical problems in newborns, including infant mortality.

The Pentagon for the first time is forcing military bases worldwide to offer the morning-after abortifacient, which sometimes causes an early abortion of a living fertilized human embryo. This is more of Obamanation’s taxpayer-funded abortion, opposed by over 70% of Americans.
