Rockhurst readies for ESPN televised tussle
The last two Missouri Class 6 high school champions meet on national television Sunday.
The 2007 champion Rockhurst Hawklets meet 2006 champion Blue Springs South at 11 a.m. at Blue Springs South. The game will be televised live nationally on ESPN.
“It’s (national TV) got its plusses and minuses,” veteran Hawklets coach Tony Severino said. “For the kids, parents and the school it gives us national exposure. But it is taking high school football out of its context.”

Savvy political consultant and commentator Dick Morris wrote in his nationwide e-mail newsletter Sunday that Obama’s failure to name Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sebelius as his running mate was the biggest mistake of his candidacy.
I totally agree, and not because Sebelius is our governor. I agree because Kathleen Sebelius would have filled the gender gap. That is why we predicted in this column in June that Obama would select Sebelius. We were wrong, but so was Obama.
